A long-awaited crane provides a forwarder with unbeatable reach and strong lifting force

The optional Combi crane 165F is now available for the Komatsu 895, a long-awaited addition for our customers. The Combi crane gives the Komatsu 895 a reach of 10 m, making it the optimal choice for, among other things, harvesting logging residue when the timber is further from the forwarder.

The combination of our largest forwarder model, the Komatsu 895, and the Combi crane offers a powerful machine with strong lifting force and unbeatable reach. The version with a single telescopic boom offers a reach of 8.5 m while the double telescopic boom offers a full 10 m reach. The crane's impressive gross lifting torque also provides good lifting force at the full 10-metre reach. The crane's length and strength make it the optimal choice for, among other things, harvesting logging residue when the timber is further from the forwarder.

The new crane has optimally protected hose routing, as it is equipped with both Komatsu Forest’s well-constructed Combi outer boom and unique ProTec link. The Combi outer boom has a completely new design with advantages such as adjustable sliding blocks to prevent play between boom sections, hydraulic limit damping at both cylinder end positions and individual bearings for all hose and chain wheels on the same axle. The Combi outer boom also features individual adjustment of all hose tensioners.

Like all other Komatsu Forest products, it is also equipped with ORFS couplings for reduced leakage.
