The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) has provided a virtual reality simulator to Haulotte’s Spanish subsidiary since June 3rd – a symbol of sustainable worldwide collaboration.
A long-term collaboration
Haulotte, the global leader of people and material lifting equipment, is an IPAF Sustaining Member since 2018. This partnership extends to our 21 subsidiaries, which encourages safety and training on a daily basis. By sharing experiences and good practices, both companies are working hand-in-hand to promote the safe and effective use of powered access around the world.
Virtual reality revolutionizes MEWP training
For a week, Haulotte Iberica teams and customers have been testing the virtual reality simulator developed by Serious Labs. They experienced driving a lifting platform in a totally real way while leaving aside potential incidents. Many types of platforms are available (booms, scissors) and trainees can select more than 50 scenarios. "This promising new technology will enhance training and convey the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure candidates stay safe" said Iván Morodo, General Manager of Haulotte Iberica.
