The new product of XCGM single steel wheel road roller had many technical breakthroughs and was the cohesion of the diligence and efforts of R&D personnel. In order to promote the reliability of vibrating drum, a bench test of 3,000 hours must be carried out. The technical expert of XCMG, Xia Panfu, led the members of the project team to track in turn. In order to test the data, he continuously tracked and tests for about 40 hours in a summer when there were many mosquitoes. His arms were full of herpes, but he did not have a rest. He was filled with fighting spirit like an iron man and always insisted. After 6 continuous improvements and more than 20 repeated tests during over one year, the long-life vibrating drum was finally successful. When everyone was celebrating for the victory, Mr. Xia fainted in the test room due to excessive fatigue.



  As the best product of XCMG, XCMG3 series paver was researched and developed into a 9-meter flexible-screed paver, including two models, single-vibration model and double-vibration model. The selectivity of users became stronger and the adaptation of product ranked top of the world. The new hydraulic flexible screed had stronger structural stiffness and higher flatness and was more convenient for installation and adjustment. The newly-developed M250SG flexible screed had stronger structural stiffness and more stable vibration property.

  The series III road roller, especially, has obtained certification of authorities. High-efficiency and energy-saving mechanical-driven vibratory roller with single steel wheel has passed the test conducted by Xi’an Road Machinery Test Center in many innovation points. The integrated fuel consumption of the new one decreases by 17.8%, and the noise declines by 3.2 dB, as compared with the old one; and with the same press, the degree of density increases by 3.2%, with an increase of 8.43% in operation efficiency. 

  As high-end products, the XD “3” series double steel-wheel road roller has achieved an improvement of 46% in compaction efficiency on the upper bituminous surface course, as compared with common products. By adopting the high-frequency vibration system with a frequency of 67HZ, this kind of product can achieve a compaction speed of 6-8km/h, and its operation efficiency is twice higher than common ones. In addition, the product is equipped with intelligent control techniques, including soft start and soft shutdown, management system for speed and frequency, automatic idle speed, and independent heat dissipation. By adopting many other above-mentioned techniques, the integral construction efficiency of XD “3” series products has improved by 46% under the same operating environment, and they are especially suitable for compaction under special working conditions, such as cover layers of bridge, cover layers of tunnel, as well as SMA modified asphalt, etc. 

  XCMG Series III paver is equipped with transmission device with strong segregation performance and oversized hopper. The maximum paving thickness can reach 400mm, which makes construction efficiency improve by over 30% compared to industrial similar products. Besides, it optimizes the transmission system and effectively reduces fuel consumption and noise. Daily fuel saving reaches 30L and noise heard by the driver reduces to 87DB. XCMG paver will pursue the goal of being super-smooth, super-uniform, super wide, super-thick and super-value and keep continuous innovation to create higher value for the users.

  The new XCMG D Series land leveler creates several efficient energy saving technologies leading the industry and making energy saving effect of the whole machine remarkable. With scientific comparison test, this machine can save energy by 15—20% compared to traditional products.

  On the conference site, Jiao Shengjie, an industrial authority, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Chang’an University, made a speech “Energy-saving and Environmental Protection Technology—an Inevitable Trend for Road Construction Machinery Industry”. He thought highly of the application of XCMG energy saving technology in products.

  At the conference site, Luo Zehua, the General Secretary of Road Construction and Maintenance Machinery Branch of Chinese Construction Machinery Association made a speech on Development Road for Complete Set of Chinese Asphalt Pavement Construction Machinery. 1. XCMG energy-saving and efficient D Series land leveler is a product of international advanced level which is provided by XCMG with several years of improvement and innovation. Advanced and scientific power matching and optimized structure configuration design make D Series land leveler equipped with strong power, compact structure, beautiful and unique form and comfortable and pleasant operation environment. The product is composed of GR165, GR180 and GR215, which can meet construction requirements for different engineering.

2. Motor with a slow speed of revolution and gearbox with locking technology effectively increase the transmission efficiency. Arc shovel blade structure which is optimized according to soil cutting principle effectively reduces operation resistance, improves construction efficiency and achieves more than 10% energy saving effect. The motor which can choose LNG technology achieve more than 20% energy saving effect; the GR215K product which can choose motor with changeable power applies technologies such as independent cooling and load sensing, which can save more energy.

Highlights of XCMG XSJ3 Series mechanical single drum vibratory roller

1. XSJ“3” Series energy-saving and efficient single drum vibratory roller, launched by XCMG for the first time, with simple, fluent, generous appearance, demonstrates XCMG style. It is characterized by good compaction property, high working efficiency and comfortable operation, which is appropriate for various compaction works with different basic materials. The product series includes high-end and medium end configurations and covers 6 specifications such as 14 tons, 16 tons, 18 tons, 20 tons, 22 tons and 26 tons, which can meet the demand of various user groups.

2. The new XSJ3 Series product applies slow-speed revolution motor technology, drive system matching technology and vibration parameters optimization technology, fully achieving energy saving, environmental protection and high efficiency. With the same compaction process, its compactness increases by 3.2%, operation efficiency increases 8.43%, integrated oil conservation of the whole machine reaches 17.8% and saves 30,000 to 50,000 yuan for the users each year.

3. It is common in the industry that vibrating drum which is the core device of vibratory roller has short service life and low reliability. Through many optimized analysis and experimental research, XCMG makes a big breakthrough in vibration drum structure and lubrication technology, and lengthens the service life of vibrating drum by more than 3 times.

1. XS3 series full hydraulic single steel-wheel vibratory roller is a new production developed independently by XCMG, which includes high and medium configuration and covers 11 models in total from 14 tons to 33 tons.
