The front loader specialist STOLL presents the all-new universal implement
The leading global front loader specialist STOLL launches an all-new bucket with grab onto the market. One advantage of this all-rounder is even more accurate work, for example, with silage: If the top grabber of the bucket with grab opens, the tractor driver is now able to manoeuvre the cutting edge of the bucket right up to the silo wall. STOLL engineers have optimised the implement kinematics for positioning and durability, in particular.
Before, grabbing anything was a real challenge
The previous bucket with grab had the disadvantage of leaving the upper cover in front of the bucket cutting edge when open, which made it difficult to empty a silo completely.
Prototype phase with customers – Conclusion: “We’ll take it!”
“Keeping everything super-clean is crucial in a silo. Especially when it contains fodder. The new bucket with grab lets us go right up to the silo wall, which is ideal”, explains Frank Selent, Sales Manager DACH and Poland. “The new concept has proved itself, after a prototype phase lasting several months, during which we rolled it out with various farmers. We wanted to know, what those on the front line thought of the tool. They praised the ‘aggressive bite’ as well as the durability of the material. One of them even wanted to keep the bucket with grab then and there, because it had made work so much easier”, smiles Frank Selent. STOLL will unveil its new bucket with grab at the Agritechnica show – available in widths of 1.60, 1.80, 2.00, 2.20, 2.50 and 2.80 m. Typical uses include holding loose or papescent fodder, brushwood, compost and bales.
New construction – Top cover shifted even further back– and with ultra-hard teeth
Thanks to optimised kinematics, we have managed to shift the top grabber even further back – the highlight being the ability to go right up to the silo wall now. We have also made the bucket with grab more buckle-resistant and durable – as practical tests in the field have implied such a need.
Another stand-out feature is the teeth of the upper grabber – more specifically their material: Made of hardened steel with 400 HB hardness. Brinell allows you to measure the depth to which a test item can penetrate and here too, the STOLL grabbing bucket passed with flying colours.
Appealing for local authority providers: the new waste disposal bucket
It has to be robust and suitable for a range of uses: STOLL has strengthened its presence in the municipal sector with this waste disposal bucket.
So what’s new about it? “The user profits from a multifunctional tool, which can also accommodate bulkier goods, such as tree trunks, bushes and shrubs, by-product and waste wood, but also construction or domestic waste and then transport it,” explains Armin Walter, Head of Sales and Marketing at STOLL. “Other tools simply often weren’t suited for this work. What we believe is – special tools for special jobs – but remaining versatile and durable.”
And both the new bucket with grab and waste disposal bucket are top-quality items. Where they differ is in the side opening for the waste disposal bucket – screwed-in side parts can also be added as optional extras. However, to keep the bucket stable, the STOLL engineers opted to reinforce the side walls. Thanks to this flexible solution, life has been made much easier for those transporting bulk goods.
Just as firm a bite – even with fewer teeth
STOLL supplies the waste disposal bucket with the same top grabber as the bucket with grab – and a second version optimised to handle larger bulk goods. So how do the fewer teeth improve things? Less intermediate gaps for individual parts to get trapped in.
