All new Chainless X2500 bale feeder

Due for release in the New Zealand and Australia, Q1 of 2017 is Hustler’s all new Chainless X2500. The Chainless X2500 is based on the proven feeding system of the Chainless X5000, which has gained a massive following in the New Zealand and Australian market already over the past 2 years, but being a 3-point-linkage mounted bale feeder, it offers more manoeuvrability, a solution for smaller farms, and those operating on steeper country is where it comes into its own.

In fact, it's the only 3 point linkage mounted bale feeder that reliably feeds out any bale shape or type of bale without jamming, blocking or plugging. And the only bale feeder on the market to handle square bales, that can be loader mounted.  It's Revolutionary...

Chainless X2500 bale feeder, which is yet another transformation for the bale feeder market, and features the patented the auto connect/disconnect Snaplox hands-free connection system, which has proven its worth with our SL360X round bale feeder over the past season. We’re really pleased with the uptake and reliability of the patent Snaplox connection system,it’s been a real game changer for ease of operation, and convenience.

Thanks to the Snaplox system and the new headstock design it is now compatible with front end loaders, skid steer loaders and telehandlers adding a huge improvement in versatility it’s a trend we’re seeing, and farmers are starting to really latch on to the visibility advantages, and the fact you can feed out from a laneway without having to enter the paddock is saving them time.

The new design features a whole raft of new features that make it easier to use, such as the new style of bale tynes that pierce the bale rather than pushing it, a new drive connection system which uses 2 sealed ball race bearings instead of a bush, the load rating has been bumped up to handle bales up to 1250kg and the new 5’ bed allows retains the feed better.  Being 5’ and the increased load capacity added a bit of a curveball in the design process, and as a result it has a massive oversized monocoque chassis design which is absolutely bullet-proof. A new adjustable pivot design can be optimised to suit the bales you mostly feed out, be it Square Vetch, Alfalfa or even the soggiest of deformed round bales.

We’d like to thank the farmers from New Zealand, Australia and America who’ve been involved in the development process, which has helped create the new Chainless X2500.  From more than 55 years’ experience in developing farm equipment, one thing you can be very sure of is that you’re onto a real winner when the farmer’s wife doesn’t want to let go of the machine and that’s exactly the experience the development team had from one of our testers - Absolutely love the new feeder, my wife wanted to weld it to the tractor!

We’re pleased with the response and uptake from the investment that has gone into developing the Chainless X2500, with shipping to Canada and USA kicking off in October 2016 and those markets have consumed all our production for the new model well into Q1 of 2017. Hustler has demonstration units on hand in most regions and is currently securing pre-orders ahead of the Southern Hemisphere winter.
