With the ISOBUS AMAPAD operator terminal AMAZONE offers a complete solution for machine operation, from GPS applications such as automatic part-width section control through to precision farming applications, including the processing of application maps.
For Agritechnica 2015, the terminal, with its 12.1" touch screen and “MiniView concept”, is updated with a comprehensive palette of new functions designed again to increase operator comfort. To ease operation of complex equipment it is possible to operate specific implement functions via Auxiliary Control New (AUX-N), via such as, for example, a multi-function joystick. The AUX-N operating system features freely programmable keys enabling the farmer to allocate a function to a key according to their preference. AMAPAD now newly includes a learning mode for the AUX-N operating system making the programming of the freely programmable keys mere child’s play. Simply select the desired function of the machine from the learning mode, press the key to be programmed on the AUX-N operating system and the function is stored on the relevant key.
Now the customer has in view both the machine operation and also the AUX-N implement thanks to the Multi-UT function plus, in the future, AMAPAD makes available its own AUX-N MiniView where up to nine functions of the machine, or also of the terminal, can be pre-programmed via direct access. In this way the driver is always in easy reach of the most important functions and scrolling in the submenus is not necessary. In addition, important operational functions, such as, for example, the OK button to confirm messages can also be stored on an AUX-N multi-function joystick, such as the new AmaPilot+.
Also the customer can decide how far he intends to make use of the AMAPAD function range. Three user levels have been integrated allowing the user to select between the levels “basic”, “medium” and “experienced”. So, AMAPAD can be set to suit the individual needs of each driver. This useful improvement is also known from other operating systems, such as, for example Microsoft Windows.
To improve customer service support, the dealer or AMAZONE’s customer service department has immediate local access to AMAPAD in situ with the customer via TeamViewer, the remote diagnostic programme. For this the AMAPAD must be connected via Wi-Fi to the Internet
Additionally, with regard to GPS bout guidance, AMAPAD is able to import, using the data format ISO-XML, A-B lines that are already available for the farm or brought over from the parallel driving system of another machine. This allows, for example, the easy transfer of tramlines, irrespective of with which tractor or machine they have been produced meaning that the creation of new tramlines becomes unnecessary.
Newly integrated into the software is a quick start button which can be programmed with frequently required functions from the Task menu. Here the main functions, such as, for example, the creation of a new field or a new job, can be pinned so that the farmer or agricultural contractor can comfortably change fields or customer.
As standard, AMAPAD features three MiniViews at once with the other applications, which are currently not required to be active but, however, the driver would still like to monitor, are displayed on the left hand side of the screen. If these MiniViews are not needed, the user can also make use of the full screen for machine operation via the UT.
