Bobcat is showing a number of new products for the landscaping, gardening and horticulture industries at the Galabau 2022 Exhibition in Nuremberg in Germany from 14-17 September 2022. The Galabau show provides the platform for the European launch of the new MT100 mini track loader from Bobcat. Bobcat will also preview the company’s mower products, which form part of the new Bobcat Grounds Maintenance Equipment range being launched in 2023.

Visitors to the Bobcat stand can also see a display of other products from the Bobcat range aimed at landscaping and greenspace work. These include skid-steer and compact track loaders, mini-excavators, telehandlers, compact wheel loaders, light compaction products and specialized attachments from Bobcat.

Launch of New MT100 Mini Track Loader

The new MT100 mini track loader removes the need for manual labour, replacing the use of wheelbarrows, shovels and hand tools in many types of work in landscaping and gardening. The tracks on the MT100 allow travel over established surfaces, with less worry about repairs and costs associated with surface damage. The track system and integrated ride-on platform also provide a smooth ride for enhanced operator comfort and confidence.

With a standard width of just 904 mm (increasing to 1045 mm with the Wide Track Option), the smaller dimensions of the new MT100 provide easy passage through narrow gates and doorways. In addition, this facilitates work in confined spaces.

With a ground pressure of 36 kPa (5.25 psi), the standard 180 mm narrow tracks provide good protection for most turf and finished surfaces. The optional 250 mm wide tracks further reduce the ground pressure to 30 kPa (3.97 psi). The MT100 also has a class-leading ground clearance of 205 mm, that makes working over and around obstacles safer and easier for landscaping, gardening and other greenspace tasks.

John Chattaway, Loaders Product Manager at Bobcat, commented: “With the MT100 mini track loader, users can travel and work in the tightest spaces where other machines cannot. The MT100 should not be underestimated - it can track and tread lightly over soft ground and lawns with ease, but combined with many Bobcat attachments its capabilities prove endless work-saving opportunities from the largest to the smallest of jobs.”

Outstanding Specifications to Meet the Most Demanding Jobs

Despite its compact size, the MT100 mini track loader still delivers a rated operating capacity of 460 kg, a tipping load of 1314 kg, a powerful breakout force and a lift height of 2057 mm.

The moveable counterweights (CWs) system adds even more capability and allows the user to tailor the lift capacity or ground engagement depending on the application. As standard, the counterweights sit in the front undercarriage to provide optimal ground engagement. Moving them to the rear uprights increases lift capacity to 485 kg and the tipping load to 1387 kg when needed.

The Stage V, 25 HP engine on the MT100 works efficiently to drive the work equipment. The track drive and powerful 41 l/min auxiliary hydraulics ensure the MT100 can be used for multi-function work, carried out using the many different attachments available.

In fact, whether stump grinding, scarifying or trenching, the MT100 shares many of the same attachments found on the company’s smaller loaders using the same standard Bob-Tach attachment system. There is also a common industry interface available for hooking up to other equipment that customers may have in their fleets.

Preview: Bobcat To Enter Grounds Maintenance Business in 2023

As Bobcat continues to enter new product categories to strengthen its position in the compact equipment industry, the company will be entering the Grounds Maintenance market in 2023 with a new product range to complement its current portfolio. At Galabau, Bobcat is giving a preview of the company’s new mowers, part of the range that also includes new compact tractors and turf equipment. By adding these new product lines alongside the company’s mini track loaders, small articulated loaders and related attachments, Bobcat will offer a complete range for all groundcare needs.
