Integrated planning, real-time control and documentation solution for road construction
BOMAG and Dynapac, leading suppliers of machines for road construction and Volz Consulting, market leader for digital process optimization in road construction and civil engineering, announce their cooperation at the bauma. Goal of the partnership is the marketing and further development of digital process solutions for road construction.
The cooperation establishes a comprehensive process optimization system for road construction. Construction sites can be planned remotely through an App and all operations and resources of a company can be coordinated in a multi-project view. During construction asphalt mixing plants, truck logistics and jobsites are networked. Deviations from planning can be recognized in rea-time and mitigating actions can be triggered immediately. The result is a detailed process documentation along the lines of Building Information Modeling (BIM).
Additional sensor data especially from the Asphalt Pavers and Rollers is integrated into the process optimization system, to bring the process to the next level and substantially improve quality. The modules from BOMAG and DYNAPAC are fully compatible to all other process
solutions from Volz Consulting. This way module combinations can be adapted and expanded with additional functions for example for earthworks, milling, concrete construction and logistics. In addition, the newly developed order management for mixing plants and the project management solution for civil engineering integrate seamlessly as well.
The cooperation creates the first open and manufacturer independent platform for execution, optimization and documentation of road construction. A key advantage of this platform is that sensor technology from 3rd party suppliers already in use by construction companies, can be integrated as well. Customers benefit from securing their investment and gaining flexibility.
The construction industry will benefit from a universal system for the digitalization of road construction projects, that has already proven itself for several years and fulfils all requirements for the digital future – including mobile recording of working hours on jobsites or individual truck tracking solutions.
Through usage of the new system construction time and costs can be reduced significantly, which many jobsites in the last years have proven. For over 5 years more than 60 companies in 12 countries have already been working on the new joint platform, which is also distributed under their own brands by BOMAG and Dynapac,
