Bridgestone, the world’s number one tyre and rubber manufacturer, announces the appointment of Christophe de Valroger as Vice President Original Equipment (OE) of the corporation’s European division, effective January 2015.
A French national, Christophe, 47, has 22 years of car industry experience, including 12 years in leadership positions.
Most recently, he acted as Global Head of Mid-term Rentals with leasing company ARVAL. Prior to this position, he spent 12 years at Hertz where his most significant assignment was as Vice President of Fleet International for Hertz Rent-a-Car (2008 and 2013). In this role he had overall responsibility for the Hertz Fleet, including fleet acquisitions and fleet operations throughout Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific. Previously he served in various other positions in Hertz after holding sales and marketing responsibilities for Tenneco, a leading spare part manufacturer in France and England.
Christophe holds a Master’s degree in International Business and graduated from a major French business school.

Bridgestone supplies all major vehicle manufacturers in Europe with original equipment tires, and through its integrated R&D and proving ground resources works closely with OEMs to develop solutions for the challenging and complex requirements of the automobile industry.
