Briggs Equipment provides telehandler for Alan Titchmarsh garden show

Briggs Equipment has teamed up with famous TV gardeners to make dreams come true for eight families who have been going through a tough time.

Briggs Equipment is supplying a JCB telehandler to the makers of Alan Titchmarsh’s popular garden makeover TV series Love Your Garden.

On special loan to the TV show from Briggs Equipment’s short-term rental fleet, the JCB telehandler 531-70 model can lift up to three tonnes to heights of over seven metres so can handle pallets of patio slabs and sacks of turf with ease.

The JCB telehandler is one of more than 5,000 machines available to hire from Briggs Equipment on contracts from one day up to 12 months tailored to suit individual applications and budgets. The diverse range of equipment includes forklifts, all-terrain utility vehicles, warehouse equipment, specialised heavy lifting trucks, access equipment and sweepers.

Alan Titchmarsh and his team of professional designers, horticulturalists and contractors will use this impressive piece of equipment to create a little bit of paradise for the deserving families around the UK.

Previously, the experts have given the gift of a new garden to injured service personnel, children with special needs and bereaved parents coming to terms with their loss. Once again, all gardens featured in the new series of Love Your Garden belong to people with a heart-breaking but inspirational story to tell.

Now in its fifth series, filming of the eight episodes of the show started in mid-April and is set to continue until July. The one-hour programmes will air weekly on ITV1 at 8.00pm from Tuesday, June 23, and will run until August.

Alan Titchmarsh’s Love Your Garden is Britain’s most watched gardening programme, with estimated viewing figures of around three million based on last series. With the exception of the soaps, it is also ITV's most watched programme in an 8.00-9.00pm weekday timeslot.
