Like the entire Carmix line, this model also offers operators an essential design, where each element is functional to the operating needs of professionals. The four steered wheels, for example, facilitate manoeuvres in small spaces, optimising movement. In addition, the 112 kW six-cylinder, water-cooled Perkins engine and four-wheel drive ensure the necessary power to tackle difficult building sites, with slopes up to 30%.

A Complete Concrete Plant on Four Wheels

Carmix 5.5 XL represents the perfect combination of what the company can offer professionals: a stand-alone plant, capable of producing large quantities of concrete directly on the building site. The cement-mixer unit has a capacity of 7600 litres with an effective yield per mix of 5.5 m³. Inside, a system with double mixing screws and a drum with hydraulic motor rotation and planetary gearbox allow a uniform and compact mix. This result is also due to the automatic loading system, which thanks to the front cabin, alongside the loader, enables maximum visibility of operations. The control and monitoring instruments are very important: Carmix 5.5 XL is fitted with Joymix, a power-assisted joystick which controls the hydraulic functions of the loader and makes it possible to discharge the concrete up to two metres high. Finally, there is the optional Load Cells weighing system. This features load cells under the cement-mixer unit, to obtain high-quality concrete.
