Cat Lift Trucks awards outstanding spring branch ISD student with $ 5,000 scholarship

Cat® Lift Trucks, a provider of lift trucks known for quality, reliability and customer service, today awarded an exceptional Spring Branch Independent School District high school senior, Saul Martinez, with a $5,000 scholarship to pursue a chemical engineering degree at Texas A&M University.

This year marks the 11th year that Cat Lift Trucks has offered its annual scholarship to a deserving student based on academic performance, financial need and community leadership.

Martinez is currently a high school senior at Memorial High School in Spring Branch ISD. During his high school career, he excelled in both academic and extracurricular pursuits. He recently completed his Eagle Scout service project partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston.

“We are proud to continue our tradition of providing students with this scholarship by partnering with the faculty in Spring Branch ISD,” said Kent Eudy, executive vice president of sales and marketing for Cat Lift Trucks. “We are excited to recognize Saul Martinez, who has proven to be an exemplary student headed toward making a remarkable contribution to our community.”

Martinez accepted his scholarship at an awards reception on March 13, 2015, at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo™, where Cat Lift Trucks serves as the Official Lift Truck Provider for the 11th consecutive year. In the past decade, the company has awarded more than $93,000 to Houston-area students.
