During the Technical Commission’s meeting, apart from the review of activities of each Project Team, the group was updated on DigiPLACE, the EU-funded project aiming at creating a roadmap for a Digital Platform for Construction in Europe. CECE is one of project's 19 partners and leads activities related to communication and dissemination.

Participants also discussed the recently published Regulation (EU) 2019/1020 on market surveillance and compliance of products. CECE has created a new Task Force on this topic to better understand the challenges of the new Regulation and to compile main questions and comments from members.

Finally, the group was updated on the USA-EU trade negotiations, including the EU Proposal for an agreement on non-conformity assessment with United States. Attendees were also informed about the AEM-CECE Joint Statement on Free Trade and Against Tariffs signed on 17th October.

The technical agenda is ready for 2020 and the quarterly meetings were scheduled for the year. The next technical week will take place in Brussels from 31st March to 2nd April.
