CLAAS S10 Terminal Now Controls All ISOBUS Functions

The CLAAS S10 terminal is the central terminal that controls and monitors important tractor and machine functions. In addition to operating steering systems and cameras, it is also possible to use the S10 (Universal Terminal) to control ISOBUS devices.

Now CLAAS have widened its operating spectrum with the new "Section Control" and "Task Management" ISOBUS functions, meaning that in the future, it will be possible to control all ISOBUS functions via a single terminal.

The S10's additional control functions provide the operator with an even greater range of options when using the tractor. Even in the past, all ISOBUS attachments could be controlled, adjusted and optimised during use via the S10 display with the aid of the ISOBUS UT function.

Section Control – Automatic Section Control

With the newly integrated function Section Control, unwanted overlapping is prevented by automatic section control switch-off, regardless of whether a crop protection sprayer, fertiliser spreader or seed drill is being used. There are also individual adjustment options available for working awkwardly shaped sections on the headland and in the main field.

Task Management - Management for Professionals

The integration of ISOBUS Task Management into the control system of the S10 terminal will be of particular interest to contractors and managers of larger operations. CLAAS offers TC Basic and TC Geo options for the Task Management function.

Detailed operating orders for working on individual sections can be created using the Task Management program on the office PC and transmitted to the tractor in question. If necessary, the operator can change and optimise the task data via the S10 terminal at any time. Cross compliance-relevant documentation can easily be taken care of simultaneously by using this in conjunction with farm management software.

In addition, the Task Management TC Geo enables the recording of the most important data for ensuring correct positioning for each section, such as the applied volumes of fertiliser or pesticides. This data is transmitted from the tractor to the office software used by the operation and serves as a basis for creating future operating orders. This allows fertilisers and pesticides to be applied in relation to yield, resulting in a reduction in the costs of operating materials required and in the levels of environmental pollution.

One example is the use of the CLAAS CROP SENSOR ISARIA in conjunction with an ISOBUS fertiliser spreader. In this scenario, the S10 merges the control of the two ISOBUS devices and simultaneously processes geo-referenced application maps.

Additional control of the Section Control and Task Management ISOBUS functions via the S10 terminal will be made available for all CLAAS tractors from the ARION series up to the 2017 financial year models from the XERION series, as well as for retro-fits for tractors that have been manufactured by third parties.
