  • CM Labs showcases next-generation port operator training solutions at TOC Americas and TOC Asia, featuring updated simulation curriculum and AI-powered support.

  • The new Scenario Editor allows instructors to customize training exercises to better simulate real-world port conditions.

  • The industry's first AI Assistant aids both instructors and trainees by providing curriculum guidance and in-simulator assistance.

  • Remote operations training is enhanced through the Remote Operating Station, preparing operators for camera-based situational awareness and remote control environments.

Enhanced ports training curriculum, AI-powered support for instructors and trainees, and remote operations training help terminals build a safer, more capable workforce. CM Labs will showcase these solutions in Booth B42 at TOC Americas in Cartagena, Colombia, and Booth M2 at TOC Asia in Singapore.

CM Labs, the global leader in simulation-based training solutions for the ports industry, will showcase its latest operator training innovations at TOC Americas and TOC Asia, including updated Ports simulation curriculum, enhanced management tools, the industry's first AI-powered assistant for port operator training, and solutions for remote operations. These advancements expand the capabilities of the Intellia Workforce Training System, helping terminals prepare operators for increasingly complex operations, strengthen safety, and improve workforce productivity, from quay to yard.

At TOC Americas, Oct 20-22 in Cartagena, Colombia, visitors to Booth B42 can experience CM Labs’ Advantage simulator running Ship-to-Shore (STS) crane and Internal Transfer Vehicle (ITV) simulation curriculum. CM Labs' Nicolae Sterescu will also participate in a Tech TOC panel discussion on Oct 22, titled “Beyond the Hype: What Does It Actually Mean to Invest in AI?”, exploring how ports and terminals can evaluate AI opportunities, establish measurable ROI, and prepare their workforces for AI adoption.

At TOC Asia, Nov. 10-11 in Singapore, CM Labs will demonstrate the Intellia Workforce Training System and Remote Operating Station (ROS) at Booth M2. The ROS replicates a control-room environment, helping operators develop camera-based situational awareness and prepare for remote operations.

Coinciding with the two events, CM Labs is introducing updated Ports simulation curriculum featuring the new Scenario Editor for select equipment types and the industry's first AI Assistant of its kind for port operator simulation training, now available across its entire Ports portfolio. These enhancements complement the recently announced training management tools, Record and Replay and Performance Leaderboards. The Scenario Editor gives instructors greater control over training exercises, allowing them to configure equipment and operating conditions to better reflect the real-world environments in which trainees will operate. The AI Assistant helps instructors access curriculum information, receive exercise recommendations, and adapt training to trainee needs, while providing trainees with in-simulator assistance.

“The future of port operations depends as much on the people operating the equipment as it does on the technology itself,” said Lisa Barbieri, VP of Marketing and Strategic Partnerships, CM Labs. “As terminals adopt more advanced equipment and remote operations, the challenge is ensuring their workforces have the skills and confidence to keep pace. Simulation-based training helps close that gap, giving operators the opportunity to build experience, master complex scenarios, and develop the skills terminals need, without putting people, equipment, or productivity at risk.”

Simulation-based training offers terminal operations safer, risk-free environments to teach new operators how to navigate the hazards of a port environment.
