Crop protection: ISOBUS comes to KUHN sprayers!

Just a few months after launching their new BUS CAN VISIOREB sprayer control terminal, it’s now the turn of the commercial version of ISOBUS to be introduced to KUHN sprayers.

Thanks to ISOBUS, farmers can drive their machines with just one in-cab terminal, integrated, or not, into the tractor. It also means that, from one machine to the next, activation operations are the same, and GPS functions are automated.

KUHN sprayers may be commercialized with ISOBUS CCI* 100 and 200. Equipped with this ISOBUS terminal, sprayers can access CCI.Command and CCI.Control applications which provide the following functions:

  • CCI.Command: TC-SC (Section control) and guidance (Parallel Tracking)

  • CCI.Control: TC-BAS (documentation and logging) and TC-GEO (application rate modulation by GPS)

A strong focus has also been put on usability for the KUHN sprayer ISOBUS application. A small control box, christened ISOCLICK, has been designed to control the indispensable working functions. This small, ISO-compatible terminal (configurable keys) is highly compact and easier to install than a joystick, which can often be cumbersome and difficult to put in place in a modern cab.

Rinsing system usability has also been prioritized. DILUSET+ and e-SET start-up terminals now have display screens that show the circuit during rinsing. Farmers will now be able to see their spraying circuit, from the cab, and interact with it directly to rinse their sprayers. Rinsing is made simple and intuitive.

ISOBUS regulation for KUHN sprayers is to be presented in Hanover at the AGRITECHNICA 2015 fair. It will be on sale in limited numbers from February 2016.
