Doosan Marks 400,000 Machines With Charity Auction at Intermat

This year, Doosan Infracore Construction Equipment is celebrating the milestone of producing over 400,000 excavators, wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks (ADTs) for markets worldwide, since the company entered the construction equipment market in 1978. In the 40 years that followed, Doosan has grown successfully to position the company today as one of the leading global players in the worldwide construction machinery market.

To celebrate this, Doosan has put Anniversary stickers on all machines for sale in 2018 and these can be seen on the stand at the Intermat 2018 Exhibition in Paris, France from 23-28 April 2018. Doosan has also made a special version of one of the company’s excavators to mark the occasion, which is being unveiled on the company’s stand.

This special version excavator is being auctioned online through Doosan’s dealers – bids close at midday on the Thursday of the show. The winning bid will be announced at a function to be held on the Doosan stand after the show closes on the Thursday.

A portion of the proceeds generated in the auction will form a charitable donation to the construction industry organisation, the BTP PLUS Foundation, chosen by Doosan in France. Doosan will also have for sale a new special edition miniature model of the Anniversary machine.

New Doosan Products Galore

There is so much more that is new to discover on the Doosan stand.

For example, there are a number of new wheel loaders being shown for the first time at Intermat. Doosan is launching the new DL580-5 top-of-the-range Stage IV compliant wheel loader. With a bucket capacity of 5.7 m³, the DL580-5 has a similar look to the existing DL550-5 model, but features robust structural components and an advanced sophisticated double circuit axle cooling system to provide an ideal solution for applications such as block lifting and other heavier material-handling needs in industrial, construction, recycling, mining and quarrying applications.

For the first time in Europe, Doosan is showing the new DL280-5 wheel loader, with a dedicated design for the waste and recycling market and general industrial applications. The DL280-5 offers high performance and high productivity with outstanding breakout force, tipping load and enhanced output. Alongside these new models, again for the first time at Intermat, will be the DL420CVT-5 Stage IV compliant wheel loader, the first model in the Doosan^® wheel loader range to be equipped with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).

Doosan is also presenting a new version of the company’s DA30 30 tonne class ADT. The changes in the DA30 ADT model are signified by a new colour scheme for the machine that also aligns it with other products in the Doosan Heavy range. Most of the changes are aimed at enhancing operator comfort and the controllability of the machine, but there are also changes in the driveline and electrical systems.

New Doosan Excavator Developments

Available through Doosan Smart Solutions, the company’s stand is showing one of Doosan’s new Trimble-ready excavators available direct from the factory, all set to incorporate Trimble 2D and 3D grading systems as options.

Another development being shown from Doosan Smart Solutions is the introduction of new factory-fitted SVAB control system/joystick and Steelwrist quick coupler/tiltrotator options for the Doosan wheeled excavator range.

Other developments just launched include a new articulated boom for the DX160LC-5 High Track crawler excavator, providing a wider working environment and more convenience when working on tough applications.

At the other end of the range, Doosan will be presenting the company’s extended mini-excavator range for the first time at Intermat 2018.
