Dormagen – Euro Auctions Breaks all the Records

The eagerly awaited Euro Auctions Dormagen sale in February is predicted to be another record auction of construction and agricultural machinery following the record breaking December sale!

The recent used construction and agricultural equipment auction by Euro Auctions, Dormagen, Germany, in December 2018, resulted in a sale total of nearly €12 million, the record for a Euro Auctions Dormagen sale.

This record breaking auction saw an increase in buyers online with Internet sales being 60% of total sales. The hammer total was up 30% over the same time in December 2017, with Euro Auctions predicting another record breaking total for the upcoming sale on the 13th and 14th February.

The sales in 2018 all proved that quality equipment is in real demand and that auctions are increasingly becoming the preferred purchase route for a growing number of international machinery buyers in Germany. Nearly 1,000 purchased, with over 50% of bidders coming from: Germany, The Netherlands, Poland and Belgium, fiercely competing for the 2,700+ quality used and ‘as new’ pieces of equipment consigned to this two-day sale.

February Sale Looks Good!

The inventory for the February sale is looking better than the December auction, with a wide selection of ‘low hours’ and un-registered machines. Big ticket items are still being registered, however, to date Euro Auctions has added 50 wheeled loaders, 30 telehandlers, 65 road rollers, 60 mini excavators and 30 forklifts already to the inventory.

“We are continuing to consign quality equipment to all Euro Auctions sales, with Dormagen being no exception,” comments Erik Kortum, Euro Auctions’ country manager for Germany.  “Whilst the largest contingent of bidders were located in Germany, as one would expect, Poland, The Netherlands, UK and Romania were each well represented and closely followed by other European countries. During the last 13 years Euro

Auctions has become well established and trusted in Germany, attracting a large international buying and selling audience.”

Euro Auctions also attracts significant interest from the Middle East, from across North Africa as well as contingents from North America and the Asia Pacific region, with over 50 countries predicted to attend the February sale in Dormagen.

Today Euro Auctions hosts approximately 60 auctions each year with over 75,000 lots, worth over €500 million being consigned by around 6,000 vendors and these are marketed to over 150,000 potential bidders now in 100+ countries around the globe.

Erik concludes: “For anyone who has never attended an auction at Dormagen we would encourage them to come along and see the massive quantity and the quality of equipment offered and they can be confident that they will acquire quality, reliable, yet affordable equipment.”
