Engcon opens a new office and employs more staff in France

Engcon, the world-leading manufacturer of tiltrotators for excavators, continues to grow in Europe. The French subsidiary’s new head office in Mennecy opened recently and is taking on more staff.

Since it was founded in Sweden in 1990, Engcon, a specialist in tiltrotators and tools for 1.5 - 32 tonne excavators, has continued to expand by establishing companies in a number of countries, including outside the strong Nordic market.

“Many European excavator markets have matured substantially in just the last few years when it comes to tiltrotators. It is therefore important that, as a world-leading manufacturer of tiltrotators, we increase our presence in Europe,” explains Sten Strömgren, Marketing Manager of the Engcon group.

During 2015, work started on a number of future initiatives. Part of this is to expand warehouse stocks and delivery capacity in the Engcon companies outside the Nordic region. France is one of four priority areas outside the Nordic market and in the very near future there will be a well-established stock of spare parts for rapid delivery within the country.

“Today, 16 years after our first sale in France, and with more than 1,200 tiltrotators sold across France, we now need to strengthen our after-sales department. Among other things, we need to increase our storage capacity for spare parts. The Engcon group has therefore decided to centralise logistics and at the same time double warehouse stock resources. This will enable our partner ATM to focus once again on what it specialises in - installation and service,” says Patrick Régnier, Country Manager and Head of Sales at Engcon in France.

Engcon plans to continue its expansion in France

“We had good results in France last year, despite the fact that the market was tight during the year and even though new competitors established themselves in the market. Our goal for 2016 is to continue to increase sales and we also wish to maintain and spread the excellent service quality for which Engcon is known all over the world. For us the establishment of our head office in Mennecy is a great step for Engcon, which also will ensure our growth,” adds Patrick Régnier.

In order to meet the excellent sales figures of 3.2 million Euro that were achieved in 2015, a sixth employee, responsible for technical support, is being employed by Engcon France.
