The new MULTI-CHALLENGER XT semi-mounted plough, specially developed for high horsepower tractors, is designed for use on large scale farms. This durable plough embodies a wealth of expertise, experience and performance, enabling ploughing with 12 to 14 bodies.

A bold concept

This semi-mounted machine, the result of our expertise in ploughing, incorporates the best features of our KUHN range for optimum durability. The front section shares features with our latest innovation in single-wheel semi-mounted machines, the MULTI-LEADER XT, while the rear section is inspired by our flagship mounted model, the MULTI-MASTER L.

The MULTI-CHALLENGER XT continues the evolution of our range of semi-mounted ploughs for the highest segments, specially designed for high horsepower tractors. Compatible with wheels wider than 900mm, dual wheels, triple wheels or tracks, it perfectly meets the needs of large-scale crops and productivity. This combination ensures quick and intuitive adjustments, while guaranteeing uniform ploughing quality. One of the major advantages of this plough is its carriage, which comes standard with large wheels, offering:

• Optimal traction in all conditions thanks to a large wheel diameter, allowing smooth operation on all types of soil while reducing compaction.

• Uniform redistribution of forces across the entire plough, thus avoiding peaks in force during work or transport.

Daily performance

Like our semi-mounted range, the MULTI-CHALLENGER XT incorporates features designed to maximise productivity on a large scale:

• Ground tracking: allows you to work on uneven surfaces while maintaining a constant working depth between the front and rear sections.

• Liftable rear section: provides progressive furrow entry to create short headlands and reduce re-tillage. It is possible to work with the front section only when conditions require it.

• MULTI cutting width: derived from our MASTER L, the boxes allow you to work from 14 to 20 inches (35 to 50 cm) with only two bolts to loosen to change this working width.

• T or NSH safety: adapted to varied conditions, NSH safety offers an optimal trigger rate of up to 1.5 tonnes (or 2.5 tonnes in the MAXIBAR version with instant overloading).

• Working lights (optional): in high season, day or night, this option of working lights located on the carriage provides perfect visibility of the ploughing, illuminating the rear of the plough.

• DUOLINER integrated press: performed directly during ploughing, the DUOLINER press creates an optimal seedbed by crumbling the surface and compacting the soil in depth, thus retaining moisture. It automatically adjusts to the plough settings and uses the patented Steady Control system for optimal ground tracking.
