After introducing the 6m foldable ESPRO 6000 RC seed drill at SIMA, the KUHN range counts a new 4m model, the « C » version (C for Combiseeder). The foldable ESPRO 4000 RC, with a working width of 4m is not only capable of delivering fertiliser while seeding, but can also mix 2 seed varieties just like its big brother the ESPRO 6000RC, thanks to the double-distribution system.

This machine is perfectly adapted to farmers looking to position fertilizer closer to the seed without the risk of burning the seedling. It also meets the needs of farmers wanting to establish two types of seed varieties at different depths. The fertilizer or second seed variety is placed in front of the press wheels by a coulter. The depth-adjustable coulter is positioned precisely in the centre of the two seed rows.

The Hopper on the 4m version has a capacity of 4000 litres, divided 60/40, and the 6m version has a 5500 litre Hopper with variable partition; 40/60 or 60/40. The other features of the ESPRO seed drill have of course been retained on this new model:

• Large diameter wheels (900 mm), with exclusive profile, offset and featuring tyres with a specific deep tread pattern for ideal seedbed tilling as well as low power requirement.

• CROSSFLEX coulter bar which ensures even emergence and quality seeding due to the hold of the polyurethane mounts fitted onto the cross-shaped sectional tube, for improved ground following.

• Very simple adjustments, automated headland turn management, user-friendly terminals(VT or CCI) and ISOBUS compatibility make it a tool unanimously valued for comfort of use.

• Versatility and rapidity allowing a large variety of seeds to be established at high speeds. It can be used with any crop management method and can be fitted with front press wheels with in-cab pressure adjustment for sowing on ploughed land or in light soils.
