  • The expedition aims to cover around 45,000 kilometers globally, including Central Asia, China, Southeast Asia, Australia, and the Americas, with a goal of no more than 80 charging stops.

Content creator and professional truck driver Tobias Wagner, known as the “Elektrotrucker,” has completed the first major stage of his world tour with his Mercedes-Benz eActros 600, which he has converted into a motorhome. Since setting off from Hanover on September 20, his route has taken him through the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria before reaching Türkiye. In mid-October, he arrived at the Mercedes-Benz Türk plant in Aksaray, having covered around 3,500 kilometers and made just three charging stops. Wagner is now travelling through Georgia.

Tobias Wagner: “The first stage through Europe has gone very well. Thanks to the long range of my converted eActros 600 motorhome, only three charging stops were necessary, and all of them went smoothly. Now the particularly exciting part of the journey begins for me. As I travel through Central Asia and onward to China, I’ll be operating under completely new conditions.”

Along his route through Europe, Wagner was welcomed by local Daimler Truck teams as well as Mercedes-Benz Trucks dealers and general distributors. The focus was on exchanging ideas with customers, partners, employees, media representatives, and stakeholders from politics and business, while also gaining practical experience with electric long-haul transport across national borders.

Following the successful completion of the European stage, Wagner’s route is set to take him across Central Asia to China and then on to Southeast Asia. Australia as well as North and Latin America are also planned for the later stages of the journey. In total, the expedition is designed to cover approximately 45,000 kilometers. The goal is to complete the entire route with no more than 80 charging stops.
