With over 250 participants, the traditional series of lectures, "Schrobenhausener Tage", held at the end of April, received excellent response once again. BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH organized a varied program; clients, as well as professionals from the construction industry and experts from higher education institutions were highly impressed by it. The main focus was on impressive construction projects and new, innovative methods used in specialist foundation engineering.
Peter Teschemacher, Managing Director of BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH, welcomed the guests in the Bauer conference center in Schrobenhausen and gave an overview of the worldwide network of this business division. Walter Haus, Member of the Board of BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH, moderated the event and introduced the speakers who, among other topics, spoke about the refurbishment of the old Munich-Riem tower, the Schwarzkopf tunnel bypass major project or about the many challenges faced during the construction of the longest sea bridge in the world between Hong Kong and Macau – a project in which BAUER Spezialtiefbau GmbH was also involved. Another lecture dealt with new developments in various measurement methods.
Dieter Stetter, Managing Director BAUER of Maschinen GmbH, was the guest speaker this year again. He presented the latest equipment technology, which the guests could see firsthand during the subsequent tour of the in-house exhibition grounds.
In an evening lecture, Prof. Thomas Bauer discussed the topic "BAUER Group – prepared for the future in Germany and the world". As part of this lecture, he also explained the economy of the construction market. Furthermore, the Chairman of the Management Board of BAUER AG also described the opportunities and challenges awaiting the BAUER Group. "We have increasingly internationalized our company in the past few years and have thus gained a huge advantage for ourselves," says Thomas Bauer. Fluctuations in the extremely volatile markets could therefore be offset and the company was able to stay on its course of development. He sees a particularly good chance in the clearly growing international construction market. "The challenges of the world are our opportunities," summarized Thomas Bauer in conclusion.
