FASSI GRU SPA - COMPANY PROFILE CRANES WITHOUT COMPROMISE

Fassi Gru is a market leader among Italian manufacturers. Its range of products and the number of cranes sold makes it one of the top global manufacturers of hydraulic cranes.

Its production capacity is approximately 12,000 cranes per year. The entire range is exported and distributed throughout the world, for fast and capillary distribution. From Canada to France, from England to Australia, Fassi’s professionalism aims at meeting the different needs of the market, often tied to the specific geographical and economic conditions of the individual countries.

The History. The first production facility was inaugurated in the town of Albino (BG) in 1946. The company was initially engaged in the conversion of industrial vehicles by fitting them with axles and caissons. The first Fassi crane was built in 1965.

The Group. The Fassi Group is currently made up of six independent companies operating in the Lombardy and Emilia Romagna regions, all involved in the construction and marketing of hydraulic cranes. The 13 autonomous units cover a total surface area of 138,000 square metres, 63,000 of which are covered, with a total workforce of approximately 450 people.

The companies are: FASSI GRU Spa (Albino – BG), parent company and commercial coordination; O.ME.FA. Spa (Albino – BG), production of medium-heavy cranes; CARMO Srl (Nembro – BG), production of medium-light cranes; CIESSE (Campagnola – RE), carpentry; O.CI.MA. Srl (Almè – BG), jacks; O.M.B. Srl (Petosino – BG), mechanical jobs.

Design, Research & Development. The technical department fully designs all of Fassi’s cranes, and it provides the technology and executive drawings to all companies involved in the production cycle.

Production. All production phases, from the welding to the painting up to the final tests and inspections, are completely carried out within the companies that make up the Fassi Group, according to the stringent company quality system.
