Bobcat will be showing the company’s new TL358+ AGRI and TL470HF AGRI telehandlers for the first time at LAMMA 2016, alongside Bobcat skid-steer and compact tracked loader, mini-excavator and farming attachment products. LAMMA 2016, the UK’s largest farm machinery, equipment and agricultural services show, is being held at the East of England Showground in Peterborough from 20-21 January 2016. As well as the TL358+ AGRI and TL470HF AGRI telehandlers, the Bobcat stand (G 34a) will feature the company’s S70 and S450 skid-steer loaders, T590 compact tracked loader and E19 compact excavator with a variety of Bobcat attachments.

The new Bobcat TL358+ AGRI 6 m and TL470HF AGRI 7 m telehandlers are premium versions for the agricultural market, with a number of additional features providing higher comfort and productivity to meet most agricultural requirements.

As well as a 40 km/h transmission and 24 inch tyres, the TL358+ AGRI and TL470HF AGRI telehandlers feature as standard: a Sears high comfort air suspension seat and premium cab finish (deluxe steering wheel, armrest); fan inverter; boom wiring harness and electric connectors; a lockable fuel cap; a trailer brake valve; a cyclonic air prefilter; a drawbar coupler tow hitch, front tow hitch and rear electric socket; a support for the vehicle registration plate; back-up alarm; work light on the boom; rear mirror; a loudspeaker and radio ready configuration; a roof window wiper; sun visor; a rotating beacon and European tractor homologation. All of these features are available as options on the standard TL358, TL358+, TL470 and TL470HF models.

All of these new generation telehandlers are designed to handle demanding jobs in the farming market. The boom design, which features a fully integrated boom head, larger cross section and a longer boom overlap, ensures that the machines are well equipped to carry out the most demanding loading applications. A robust main frame and protected chassis ensure maximum strength and protection for a long and productive service life.

Capable of operating in very confined spaces and at great speed, the maximum lift capacity of the TL358+ AGRI model is 3.0 tonne and the maximum lift height is 5.88 m. The TL358+ AGRI telehandler is powered by the Deutz TCD 3.6 L4 Stage IIIB diesel engine providing 74.4 kW (100 HP) of power at 2300 RPM.

The TL470HF AGRI model has a maximum lift capacity of 3.5 tonne, a maximum forward reach of 4002 mm and the lift capacity at full reach is 1500 kg. The TL470HF AGRI model is powered by the Deutz TCD3.6 L4 Stage IIIB diesel engine delivering 89.5 kW at 2200 RPM.
Also being shown for the first time at LAMMA, the Bobcat S450 compact loader, which replaced the previous S130 model, is the latest in the world-famous Bobcat line of skid-steer loaders that have been in use on farms the length and breadth of the UK for over 50 years.

The S450 skid-steer loader offers significantly improved comfort and visibility to allow for greater control and accuracy in tight working spaces.  In addition, for the first time in a skid-steer loader model in this size class, the S450 loader is supplied with a fully pressurised cab with air-conditioning as an option. Other key features include increased hydraulic performance and efficiency; a new tailgate design; integrated rear bumper and enhanced serviceability.

The new S450 cab is based on that in the larger Bobcat loaders and has been cleverly designed to maintain the loader’s compact size whilst still providing the operator with better comfort and control. The internal area of the cab has been increased by 10% compared to the S130 model it replaces, resulting in more space around the operator.

With a height (top of cab) of 1976 mm, width over the tyres of 1500 mm and length with standard bucket of 3172 mm, the S450 loader is particularly suited to jobs in confined areas.  It combines this with an operating weight of 2240 kg, a rated operating capacity of 608 kg and a tipping load of 1215 kg. The S450 also has a height to bucket hinge pin of 2781 mm and a dump height of 2157 mm.

Part of a new generation of 1-2 tonne models from the company, the Bobcat E19 compact excavator is also being shown for the first time at LAMMA. The E19 offers an unmatched combination of class-leading breakout forces, working range, smoothness of workgroup functions, hydraulic output and fast cycle times, centred around a roomy and comfortable operator environment, durability and excellent service access.

Powered by the Kubota D722 diesel engine delivering 9.9 kW at 2500 RPM (ISO 9249), the E19 model, when equipped with a cab, rubber tracks, long dipper stick and bucket, has an operating weight of 1900 kg. The maximum digging depth of the E19 excavator is 2565 mm, with a maximum reach at ground level of 4214 mm and a maximum dump height of 2693 mm.
