From Nuremberg to Africa: the ATF 180G-5 made by TADANO convinces customers world-wide

The All-Terrain crane ATF 180G-5 is a multi-tasker and can be used from the 120-t up to the 200-t class without any problems. These qualities have also convinced the General Manager of Centech Engineering Services: "As this is the first crane we are acquiring for one of our partners, we have, of course, undertaken ample research", says Rainer Glöckle. "Based on many recommendations and a number of tests we have decided on the ATF 180G-5 made by TADANO – it will be extremely satisfactory for our business partner in Sudan.“

The service provider Centech has acquired the crane for the sole power grid operator who is subject to the Ministry of Electric Power in Khartoum. Setco (Sudanese Electricity Transmission Co. Ltd.) distributes 92 percent of all electrical power to households in the North-African state. "Until the TADANO crane arrives in Sudan, it has to make a journey lasting almost three weeks – mostly by sea“, according to R. Glöckle, General Manager of Centech.

No matter if the counterweight is used partially or completely – the mobile heavyweight, the All-Terrain crane ATF 180G-5, features excellent lifting capacities. Moreover, within its 12-t axle loads (standard scope of supplies), it features a 13.2 m long jib, thus reaching a total system length of 73.2 m.
