Front-mounted disc mowers GMD 280 F and GMD 310 F

Following the renewal of the entire range of GMD rear-mounted mowers, KUHN now presents new versions of GMD front-mounted mowers.

New GMD 280 F and 310 F machines, available in 2.80 m and 3.10 m working widths, produce a clean forage harvest, rich in nutrients. This is achieved largely through the suspension system which also preserves plant cover and encourages regrowth.

The main developments of these front-mounted GMDs concern ergonomic optimization, operating comfort and maintenance, including new side guards in a lighter, synthetic material that facilitate machine settings to transport/work position. Cutter bar and service point access is easier, lubrication intervals are longer and the design of the chassis and well-integrated signaling panels contribute to better visibility from the driver’s seat.

Changes have also been made to adapt to the increasing power and working speeds of modern tractors (new main frame, reinforced link between the cutter bar and its supporting legs on the frame, resized cutter bar drive train and swathing drums).

For a high quality cut, the cutter bar is linked to the chassis by a parallelogram with 4 traction arms that provide great ground following and impressive cut height evenness. These machines come with Series 100 cutter bars and can be equipped with bolt attachment discs or FAST FIT knives.

GMD 280F and 310 F are equipped with 4 moving drums that mass the cut crop in the center and prevent dirt contamination when working in damp conditions. In this way, excellent standard forage grouping is ensured between the tractor wheels.
