Further developments for the self-propelled beet technology

Grimme will show extensive further developments to the self-propelled beet harvesters MAXTRON and REXOR at the Agritechnica show.

More power for the MAXTRON with the 530 HP efficient engine in lieu of 490 HP, a 6-cylinder Mercedes Benz engine (OM 471) with 12,8 litre capacity. The engine meets the latest exhaust emission standard stage IV. Improved engine management has reduced the fuel consumption in the field and also on the road.

The MAXTRON will now incorporate the new ErgoDrive operator armrest, which is already used in the REXOR. Besides the integration of the two colour touch-screen - CCI 100 - the driver can define several functions for direct operation by programming to the rotary switch and joystick integrated to the armrest of the air-suspended driver's comfort seat. This more ergonomically design gives an better overview over all important functions of the machine and makes it easier for the driver to adapt quickly and direct important parameter according to the changing harvesting conditions.

All Grimme self-propelled harvester are fitted with the efficient and economical LED lights as standard, thus ensure a non-reflecting and wide illumination of the working area.

The REXOR 620 or 630 are also available with 32 or 40 kmph drive speed as an option to reduce the non-productive time for road travel.

The latest generation of the 6-, 8- and 9-row walking share with single row depth control for the REXOR series will be presented on the Agritechnica show. Also the new variable chopper which either deflects the leaves to the left-hand side or between the rows (inline system) just as required will be exhibited. This flexibility can be an important advantage in fields with much haulm or on slopes in wet conditions.
