Recently the GIANT TENDO has been tested by Aboma to check if the telehandlers meet with the newest international safety regulations. Aboma is an independent company and is specialized in safety, quality and certifications. They have sent a team of specialists to inspect the machines and the conclusion was that the telehandlers are compliant with EN ISO 12100 and EN 1459.
Safety and stability of machines
“As manufacturer the safety and stability of our machines have the highest priority,” explains Hein-Jan Hoogers, CE-coordinator at Tobroco Machines. “We have been manufacturing GIANT machines for 15 years now and at the moment we build 60 machines a week. These machines need to be safe for the operator and his surroundings! We have been cooperation with Aboma since 2002 because they are a leading company with a proven track record within their area of specialism. During an extensive testing period they have investigated its design, usage, stability, noise levels, etc. We are satisfied that the TENDO is compliant with all the new regulations.”
International standards
EN ISO 12100 is an international standard for the safety of machinery (general) and EN 1459 is an European standard for the safety of industrial trucks - Self-propelled variable reach trucks. For Tobroco Machines these international safety standards are important because the machines are shipped to 40 countries. Because the telehandlers are compliant with these standards, the safety of the TENDO is recognized for all countries.
