GMD 240, GMD 280 and GMD 310: KUHN mid-range discs mowers are totally reviewed

KUHN’s mid-range disc mowers, GMD 600 to 800 GII have now been taken over by GMD 240, GMD 280 and GMD 310. The name of the machine indicates its working width (2.40m – 2.80m and 3.10m).

These 3 new models differ from the previous mowers in the KUHN range in numerous ways:

-    New linkage frame and new mower unit linkage chassis that provide up to 70% extra mechanical resistance!
-    New cutter bar attachment linked to the gearbox and rear stiffener for increased fatigue resistance.
-    Reinforced guard frame for high volume forage flow and high cutting speed.
-    Operating comfort increased by machine’s folding-into-transport-position system without leaving the tractor; highly appreciable for small plot operations where this manoeuvre is often necessary.

The 3 models come with the 100 Series cutter bar that has integrated PROTECTADRIVE anti-impact protection. No fewer than 3 versions of disc are available: standard discs equipped with bolt knife fastening, discs with FASTFIT quick knife change system or HD (Heavy Duty) discs for use in highly abrasive or rocky conditions.

The linkage frame allows for various settings in order to optimize adaptation to tractor-wheel dimensions. Large-offset hitch pins are available as an option.

Swath width can be calibrated as required, depending on the model, by adding an internal swath wheel and/or high cone.
