Following the recent introduction of GMD 2721F and GMD 3121 F front-mounted mowers (light-weight range suited to mountain farms) which were an addition to the GMD 3125 F and GMD 3525 F models (range designed for more intensive operations), KUHN has up-scaled its offer once again with the intermediate GMD 3123 F front-mounted disc mower.
The GMD 3123 F is the ideal model for medium-sized tractors from 80 to around 150-170 hp.
Its compact design and moderate weight (approx. 750 kg) greatly reduce stress on the lift system and put less wheel pressure on the soil.
Its lift arms are put into float position for ground contour following. The pendulum-type articulation system reaches +/- 12°. This is unbeatable for a machine of this type which hugs the ground and helps protect the sward and produce high quality forage.
It features the new OPTIDISC ELITE cutter bar which produces a more regular cutting height and improves cutting quality in difficult conditions.
The discs’ rotational direction contributes to the formation of swaths which are between 1.3 and 1.4m in width; the perfect size to prevent the tractor wheels from running over the forage.
A powerful leaf spring keeps the cutter unit stable during U-turns and road travel.
FlexProtect side guards have a manual opening system, but a hydraulic control system is available as an option and can be especially useful on small plots.
