STOLL releases the CompactLine log splitter

Move fallen trees with the log grapple. Transport small pieces of wood and shrubbery with the bucket with grapple - crush tree trunks with the log splitter.

The STOLL front loader specialist is expanding the CompactLine series of tools especially for forestry professionals. Thus the forestry professional can process wood directly - for example, to produce firewood for wood-burning carburator ovens - or for classic firewood.

A wood splitter for compact tractors – eliminates the need for additional special implements

Log splitters for logs have already been available for mini excavators. The current new development fits in compact tractors of up to 60 PS: These are particularly popular for use in the woods and forestry because of their size.

"The advantage is that the customer can now process wood directly with their STOLL loader and tools. They no longer need any other devices. For us it was simply the next logical step to offer customers a high quality solution for wood processing", explained Michael Schreiber, Sales Manager of the CompactLine at STOLL.

Clean cracks in wood

Chop wood quickly and precisely: built into the boom of the log grapple and with a rod affixed, the log splitter is ready for immediate use. The cone of the new tool has a thread that is screwed with rotating movements into the wood. The further the driver screws the cone end into the log, the greater the diameter of the bore site is. This way, the log splitter breaks the tree trunk along its length.

One boom – three implements

The log splitter fits exactly to the boom of the log grapple and shovel. STOLL provides its customers with a modular system for even more flexibility.
