GRI is pleased to showcase its latest product range of Specialty Tires to the world, in Stand 5A C 058, at INTERMAT, Paris from the 23rd to the 28th April. In January 2018 GRI, one of world’s premium manufacturers of solid tires for forklifts, embarked upon its next strategic move to further expand and diversify its products in the lucrative Agriculture and Construction Industry.
INTERMAT will be the platform for the launch of GRI’s first pneumatic Construction and Industrial Tires from its new factory. The global tire producer will showcase their latest Material Handling tire GLOBESTAR WT, the latest Construction tires GRIPEX and GRIPXLR, along with the new Skid Steer tires XPTSS and XPT. These technologically advanced tires provide longer running hours, extensive tire life and superior performance.
With the advancement of customer needs and to take its flagship GLOBESTAR tire into the next-generation, GLOBESTAR Wide Tread (WT) was conceptualized and developed by observing the market and listening to customers. GRI found that the market had an increasing need for wide-tread tires to support the demands of high load carrying capacity, extensive tire life and enhanced stability. The GLOBESTAR WT is a universal solid tire that consistently delivers assured performance. It is one of the widest tires in the industry. The wide-tread and flat crown radius is designed for maximum tire life. The deep lugs of GLOBESTAR WT serve to give the best traction with high stability in normal working environments. The wide-tread also prevents tire distortion while cornering. GLOBESTAR WT is built with natural-rubber compounds that ensure good resilience and high tensile strength.
GRI’s GRIPEX construction tires provide outstanding machine stability in demanding operations. The unique hook tread pattern dramatically increases traction. The specially designed heat dissipating notch maximizes surface exposure so that heat generated inside can easily dissipate to the outside, thereby enhancing the runtime and durability of the tire. The carefully designed self-cleaning terrace continuously keeps the tire clean of mud and dirt and makes the machine more efficient on energy.
The XPT SS premium plus tire is developed for demanding use on skid-steer loaders. It is designed with extra deep directional tread and curved lugs that provide excellent traction and durability. It also features an extra thick sidewall, aiding in reducing stress cracking. The XPT SS is built with advanced cut and chip resistance natural rubber compound offering maximum tire life.
With an investment of over $ 40 million, GRI’s new tire plant is a first in many respects, it is equipped with state of the art technology and many of the machines are the first of their kind to be commissioned in Sri Lanka. The new factory is also self-sufficient and is certified by ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004.
GRI has risen in the ranks of world class industrial tire companies with strong business partnerships, broad global outreach, continued manufacturing innovation and developing an extremely compelling product portfolio. A track record of quality and innovation have made GRI’s brands a customer’s top choice. With quality, value and a pioneering spirit at its core, GRI has joined the elite league of global specialty tire producers.
