Guests at the SENNEBOGEN Academy – Minister of Economic Affairs Ilse Aigner on energy efficiency

Representatives from industry, business and politics were invited by the government of Lower Bavaria and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce in April to discuss the topic of energy efficiency.

The Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs and Deputy Minister-President, Ilse Aigner, came to the SENNEBOGEN Academy to report that 35% of the state's energy came from renewable sources and that this percentage was growing. The museum and adjacent conference rooms offered the some 200 participants an ideal environment for discussing the topic through papers and in person. Last but not least, the SENNEBOGEN Academy also provided the proper basis for this topic. After all, the heating and air conditioning of the building are supplied by heat pumps driven by internal power. Photovoltaic elements on the pyramid-shaped roof absorb the sun's rays to produce a maximum output of 72 kW. On sunny days, this combination allows the building to produce more energy than it consumes – a clear statement on the conservation of resources.
