Working with telescopic handlers in city centers is not always easy due to restricted areas and confined spaces. How do you see the trend for compact telehandlers here?

Construction sites, especially in city centers, are planned to save space and require machines with compact dimensions. From our point of view, this will not change in the future. The trend will continue and the need for compact, maneuverable, environmentally friendly, and low-noise machines will increase.

Merlo E-Worker

The Merlo E-Worker has received the SaMoTer Innovation Award for “Gas and Noise Emissions”, for “Efficiency and Versatility” and for “Maneuverability”. What are the advantages of the E-Worker compared to the other telehandlers?

The e-worker is emission-free and almost noiseless, because of the 100% electric drive. With the rear-wheel steering, the machine is almost as maneuverable as a forklift and only has a small turning radius. This and a battery capacity of up to 8 hours characterize the e-worker.

Many manufacturers have been converting their engines to Stage V for some time. What about Merlo?

Stage V engines have also gradually found their way into our model range. By the end of the year we will achieve a complete conversion to Stage V - currently around 90% of the product portfolio is already equipped with the current emissions level.

Merlo Roto 50.26

What applications is the Roto 50.26 S designed for?

The compact dimensions and variable support systems make the ROTO 50.26 S a versatile helper on every construction site. Different work assignments are possible depending on the attachment. Equipped with a winch, the ROTO does the typical crane work, with a work platform, for example, maintenance work on buildings is possible. Transport and handling work can also be done quickly with the ROTO 50.26 S. For a quick change of location, the machine can be moved with extended supports up to 5 km/h. In confined spaces, it is advantageous to support the vehicle across the width of the vehicle.
