High Praise for Sany SY215C Excavators in Scottish Hydroelectric Project

Sany's SY215C hydraulic excavators have received high praise from customers managing a hydroelectric project in Perthshire, Scotland. Construction materials supplier, Barhaul Ltd., purchased two of the excavators through Sany's UK agent—TDL Equipment.

The machines were used for trenching over a 45-degree slope, in preparation for key pipework for the hydroelectric scheme. In a video shot on site in Perthshire, Barhaul's Managing Director Patrick Bradley remarked, “We are very satisfied with the machines. Two of them have been on site here and we've dug out through fairly solid rock. We've just had a site meeting today and the supervising engineers are astonished at the progress that we've made and a lot of that is down to the actual excavators.”

The Sany SY215C hydraulic excavator is built to meet the demanding Stage IV / Tier 4 Final emission standards for European and North American markets. The model has an operating weight of 22,600 kg (49,824 lb) and is powered by a robust Cummins engine that produces 164 hp (122 kW) at 2000 rpm.

Designed and developed to perform in the toughest working conditions, Sany excavators have won multiple awards, including China's National Science and Technology Award, the Asia Pacific Quality Organization's Global Performance Excellence Award, and the prestigious Red Star and Golden Pin design awards.

Beyond the performance of the excavators, Bradley also noted that when considering options, his company looked at the after-sales service and support they would receive. “We knew that if we had a problem with the excavators, the problem would be shared with TDL and Sany,” he said.

Sany's service concept has been: “All for the customer. Creating more customer value,” and over the years, it has prided itself and its network of agents on offering reliable and timely after-sales support.

“We have two 21.5-ton Sany excavators, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to any contractor,” Bradley concluded.
