The ZX135US-7B is designed for durability with new components, improved undercarriage, and easy maintenance features, supported by Hitachi's remote monitoring systems.
The highly versatile and updated ZX135US-7B medium excavator will be on display on the Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) stand at Bauma 2025. Equipped with a new Stage-V compliant Isuzu engine, similar to most Zaxis-7 excavators, it continues to help owners and operators to control their profitability, comfort, safety and uptime.
Profitability will increase thanks to the new Stage V-compliant Isuzu engine, which provides an improved performance due to a higher engine output than the previous model. The industry-leading HIOS hydraulic system offers outstanding controllability while maintaining high levels of productivity. The ECO gauge also allows operators to control fuel efficiency and reduce costs.
In addition, attachments are quickly changed using the enhanced attachment support system on the monitor. This gives the operator greater control and showcases the excellent versatility of this model, which can boost profits by working on a wider range of projects. The short-tail swing ZX135US-7B is equipped with a two-piece boom at Bauma, highlighting its versatility for confined spaces.
Feel the difference
The state-of-the-art Zaxis-7 excavator cab offers the perfect working environment. The ultra-spacious ZX135US-7B offers ultimate in comfort and quality, as well as some of the lowest noise levels in the market and 16% less vibration than the previous generation. The cab of the ZX135US-7B has a 15cm wider door opening and an enlarged interior, with increased legroom for greater comfort.
Easy operation comes from the ergonomic design of the console and switches, and convenient access to controls. The synchronised motion between the seat and console ensures operators feel less tired at the end of the working day. The improved pedal layout and ample head clearance help to make this the most spacious Hitachi cab yet.

Increase safety
To enhance safety, Hitachi Zaxis-7 excavators offer a superior view of the job site. The Aerial Angle camera system provides an exceptional 270-degree bird’s-eye view, and operators can choose from six image options to view the machine’s immediate environment. LED work lights and a windscreen wiper with an increased sweeping area enable operators to work with greater confidence in difficult conditions.
Boost uptime
The ZX135US-7B excavator has been built to last and tested rigorously at Hitachi’s dedicated facilities in Japan. A wide range of new components have been fitted to further enhance reliability, while improvements to the undercarriage have been made for increased durability.
Downtime is further minimised by the priority given to easy maintenance and cleaning. For example, the expanded radiator cover on the ZX135US-7B accommodates a larger battery, and provides easy access to the radiator net and air cleaner filter. The new Isuzu engine is easy to service and quick to maintain.

Fleet management
The wide range of Hitachi after-sales services help owners to feel in total control of their fleets and workloads. Remote monitoring systems Owner’s Site and ConSite send operational data daily via GPRS or satellite from the excavator to Global e-Service. In addition, ConSite summarises the information in a monthly email and the ConSite Pocket app shows real-time alerts for any potential issues.
A unique innovation continuously monitors the quality of engine and hydraulic oil, 24/7. Data is transmitted daily via two oil sensors to Global e-Service and they detect if the oil quality has deteriorated. Thanks to this innovative feature, customers can be assured of the condition of their excavators, and both maintenance and unscheduled downtime are reduced.
“We are proud to present the ZX135US-7B with two-piece boom at Bauma this year,” says HCME Product Manager Burak Besler. “The updated model offers an improved performance, easier service and efficient maintenance, and the two-piece boom further enhances its versatility on job sites where space is limited.”
