Agricultural association farms 4,000 hectares with JUMBO and friends
The Nové Město na Moravě agricultural association is based in the heart of the Czech Republic. In the central Bohemian-Moravian Highlands it is mainly PÖTTINGER machinery you will see at work in the fields, meadows and pastures.
The most important decision-making factors for the manager of the association, Kamil Zajíček, is the reliability of the machinery as well as the price/performance ratio.
Zajíček is particularly impressed with the high performance and efficiency that contibute to reducingoperating costs. A total of 4,000 hectares are farmed by the association, divided roughly into 2,500 hectares of arable land and 1,500 hectares of grassland. In addition they have 940 dairy cattle that yield 7600 litres of milk per year on average.
The grassland is harvested in three or four cuts and this process is accelerated thanks to the powerful PÖTTINGER grassland machines they have in operation. The loader wagons transport the crop of a total of 3000 hectares of silage and 500 hectares of straw.
"Harvesting with the PÖTTINGER loader wagons is much faster and more efficient compared to the technology used previously involving the self-propelled harvester.", says Jaroslav Dvořák (Ing.), who is a member of the association.
The Czech farmers also rely on high quality soil preparation implements from Grieskirchen: the 8-furrow SERVO 6.50 PLUS NOVA semi-mounted plough is in operation in autumn and before sowing the rapeseed.
"If you've got the right technology then work is actually fun", say the farmers in the association.
