At Intermat 2018, Bobcat and Doosan Portable Power will be presenting new products for the first time at the show. Prominent among these will be Bobcat’s new ground-breaking 2-4 tonne compact excavators. They will be complemented by the debut of the new TL30.70 compact telehandler and a new version of the top-of-the-range T870 compact track loader. Intermat will demonstrate why Bobcat is a market leader in attachments with the widest portfolio on the market - several new loader attachments will be launched including the Self-Levelling, variable segment WS-SL20 Wheel Saw. Doosan Portable Power will also have a strong presence including the launch of the new 7/53R portable compressor.
As at previous Intermat shows, the eye-catching static display on the Bobcat stand in Hall 5b will be complemented by the exciting live shows on the company’s outside demonstration area. With a performance every hour, Bobcat will be presenting products from the entire range, with a spotlight on the breadth and efficacy of Bobcat compact loaders and attachments, providing different solutions for construction, utilities, landscaping, grounds maintenance, rental and many other applications.
Taking Innovation and Performance to New Levels
In the new generation Bobcat 2-4 tonne compact excavators, all the new models already meet the upcoming European Stage V engine emission regulations and introduce new levels of operator comfort, enhanced controllability and smoothness of all working functions complemented by new user-friendly design features and styling.
The first details to be released by the company are on the new 2-3 tonne E26, E27z and E27 models. All three models offer best-in-class stability as well as complying with weight limits for easy trailering. The main focus has been on operator comfort with the new machines incorporating many innovative features and offering an enhanced level of quality and robustness. They form a new flexible machine platform with different configurations of machines and specifications to suit a wide range of applications and customer needs.
A similar radical transformation is taking place in the 3-4 tonne range. The new E34 and E35z have been developed to reinforce the Bobcat product offering in this category of compact excavator. The company will release more information on these new machines at Intermat.
Providing a maximum lift capacity of 3 tonne and a maximum lift height of nearly 7 m, the new TL30.70 compact telehandler from Bobcat is designed for a wide range of applications found in the construction and rental industries.
The TL30.70 provides an excellent cost-effective alternative to larger 7 m models, especially where working spaces are tight and increased manoeuvrability is required. With the new model, Bobcat has completed the full range of products from the company for the telehandler market. Performance is not compromised as the TL30.70 offers an outstanding maximum reach of 4 m with a load of more than 1 tonne. At the maximum lift height, users can lift up to 2 tonne of weight, which is sufficient to place a pallet of heavy bricks in most conditions.
The new version of the T870 features a torsion suspension undercarriage, introducing a completely new undercarriage design to the Bobcat compact track loader range. The torsion suspension undercarriage features torsion axles that dampen vibration, combining the comfort of roller suspension and the stability of a solid mount undercarriage with other new features to provide a tracked loader that outperforms all other machines on the market.
The new T870 torsion suspension machine offers a rated operating capacity of 1726 kg (well over 10% more than the previous roller suspension model). It is available with a wide range of standard and optional features and in a range of configurations to match emissions and specification requirements for all European, Middle East, Africa and Russia and CIS markets.
Bobcat Attachments: End-to-end Solutions in Every Area
Both the static display and the demonstration zone for Bobcat at Intermat 2018 will promote the company’s market leadership in attachments. Bobcat offers customers so many advantages in the attachment market. They include the company‘s One-Stop-Shop approach – providing every possible combination of machine and attachment from one source and a massive stock of products available for immediate shipment worldwide.
This is backed by the service support of the vast Bobcat dealer network, Bobcat Service Specialists and Parts warehouses around the world to reduce downtime. The warranty protection available from Bobcat allows customers to avoid the disputes that may arise from the compatibility and operating problems that are caused by the use of non-approved attachments.
In contrast, all Bobcat attachments are engineering approved, ensuring that they are optimized for efficiency, performance and greater productivity. This results in lower operating and maintenance costs. In addition, products are manufactured to the highest standards, guaranteeing the best quality and meeting, or exceeding, local requirements all around the world.
There will be several new Bobcat attachments launched at Intermat including the new WS-SL20 Self-Levelling Wheel Saw. Approved for use on the T870 and several other Bobcat compact loaders, the new WS-SL20 Wheel Saw is designed to cut efficiently through asphalt, rock and concrete surfaces. It has a variable segments wheel, which allows the user to quickly change the width of the wheel (50, 80, 100, 120 mm) in the field, instead of replacing the complete wheel in a workshop (providing a saving of 10 hours in the process).
The self-levelling feature allows the WS-SL20 to follow and adapt to the contours of the ground and the new design means that a trench cleaner is no longer needed. Utilising well-proven Bobcat components such as the ACD, valve block and software components, the new wheel saw has an integrated stabilizers system and a standard rubber shield for stone ejection/dust reduction. There is also a water kit option for dust reduction.
New 7/53R Portable Compressor
The new Yanmar-powered 7/53R portable compressor supplies 5.0 m3/min (177 cfm) of compressed air at a rated output pressure of 7 bar. Designed to meet O1 trailer category requirements – the 750 kg category – the new 7/53R is ideally suited not only for the rental market but also as a durable, cost-effective machine for the 5.0 m3/min segment, covering the most common applications in construction, utilities and other markets.
Like all Doosan compressors, the modular design of the 7/53R ensures that a wide range of optional equipment can be added easily. As well as ‘Tough Top’ polymer or steel canopies, they can include customer colours, LED lights, a Heavy Duty light grill, a number plate clip, wheel nut indicators, a choice of fixed or variable height running gear, an aftercooler with water separator and a 110% fluid content bunded base.
The 7/53R joins the comprehensive product range from Doosan Portable Power which as well as portable compressors, offers generators and lighting products. Completing the line-up are construction tools such as air-powered chipping hammers, pickhammers, jackhammers and paving breakers.
