Increasingly successful results for the Carmix-CAT Rental Store agreement

The agreement between the Italian company and the American multinational is progressing with increasing success. Announced as CAT Preferred Allied Vendor in 2012, thanks to the positive feedbacks from a years-long collaboration with Caterpillar dealers, in 2016 Carmix allied with CAT Rental Stores all over the world. Its presence is strong in Peru, El Salvador, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica and Mexico, and is increasing in Colombia, Paraguay and Uruguay. Latin America has established itself as an especially thriving market for Carmix machines, accounting for approx. 47% of company sales. The synergy with CAT Rental Stores has contributed to strengthen the brand’s positioning in this area, with a market penetration up to 75% in Peru.

These figures in Latin America are the result of a long-term strategy based on a strong action to increase the loyalty of dealers, some of which (e.g. Motorman in Chile) have worked with Carmix for over 30 years, and on an in-depth knowledge of the region, its culture and market.

For example, the Carmix 3.5TT and 5.5XL models are long sellers in our machine range. Also the innovative Carmix 3500 TC is attracting a high degree of attention thanks to its ability to combine design and technology in one solution, being the actual first smart mobile 4WD batching plant».

Moreover, the Italian company is strengthening its relationship with dealers by heavily investing on events. In 2016 all dealers were invited to the Venice headquarters, Italy, in order to personally witness the production process of machines. In addition, dealers organise open-house events and demos and take part in exhibitions almost every month. And with respect to popular trade fairs, Carmix will attend all the main trade shows on all continents: the next event will be the important World of Concrete fair in Las Vegas in January 2018.

Even more strategic will be the first dealer meeting in South America, featuring a rich programme of events, workshops and training courses devoted exclusively to American dealers. While the location is still top secret, its date will be around mid-April 2018.

The agreement with CAT Rental Stores is expanding to other countries, especially where the rental of vehicles is spreading as a business model. Among them, the most promising are the US and Canada, but Europe and the Middle East are also strongly growing.
