On January 15 - 17, 2014, the InfraTech civil engineering fair will take place at Messe Essen for the first time on three days parallel to the DEUBAUKOM construction trade fair. In the Netherlands, InfraTech is the largest national meeting place for the infrastructure sector and the response to this future subject is promising in Germany as well: After Ahoy Rotterdam and Messe Essen GmbH signed the contract in March, there are now already good bookings for the exhibition areas. Renowned exhibitors such as ACO Tiefbau Vertrieb GmbH, BAUER AG, Hülskens Wasserbau GmbH & Co. KG, Mall GmbH and STRABAG AG have already promised to participate.
German Infrastructure Market is Growing
As a trade fair, InfraTech will focus exclusively on the field of the infrastructure in Germany. The great need for a fair for civil engineering is clearly proven by the market research surveys conducted by the Euroconstruct institute according to which the scope of the German infrastructure market amounted to a total of Euro 47.8 billion in 2012. This sector should grow to Euro 48.3 billion in 2014. In the next few years, North Rhine-Westphalia will develop into the most important construction region anywhere in Europe. 18 percent of the German motorways and 29 of the 80 largest cities in Germany are located here.
"The fair location of Essen will give InfraTech an optimum setting for the event. In this region, civil engineering is a significant subject with a future. The proximity to the BeNeLux countries will open up an interesting sales market for the Dutch and Belgian companies," Egon Galinnis, Managing Director of Messe Essen, is convinced.
Building Construction and Civil Engineering Centrally in One Place
Docking InfraTech on to DEUBAUKOM is a logical step for Gert-Jan van den Nieuwenhoff, Managing Director for Business to Business at Ahoy Rotterdam: "The coupling has the advantage that visitors who are interested especially in infrastructure will be able to conveniently combine their stay at DEUBAUKOM with a visit to the InfraTech civil engineering fair." DEUBAUKOM and InfraTech will complement each other and, at the same time, will make use of valuable synergetic effects. They will have common target groups such as industrial construction, civil engineers and architects as well as the building trade. InfraTech will cover not only civil engineering and road construction but also the sectors relating to water engineering, water and waste water, public town planning, traffic and mobility. Decision takers and investors from local authorities, districts, regions, federal states and federal government, energy suppliers, town planners and landscape architects, research and development offices, construction companies as well as the specialised wholesale trade for civil engineering will meet up here.
About DEUBAUKOM
On January 15 - 18, 2014, DEUBAU will go to the starting line under its new name DEUBAUKOM for the first time. Under the roof of four subject pillars, competence and communication will be bundled in a stronger way. They will encompass the core sections: "Architecture and Engineering", "Housing Industry", "Building Trade" and "Industrial Construction". Subject-specific and product-specific competence centres will guarantee that the market partners will come together quickly and efficiently. DEUBAUKOM will offer an ideal communication platform to the four main target groups. It will act as a network between the building material industry, the skilled trades, the specialised trade and sectoral associations.
