  • John Deere highlights tailored solutions for Dairy & Livestock and Small Grains production at Agritechnica, featuring new forage harvesters, balers, and self-propelled sprayers with advanced automation and operator comfort.

  • The 9RX tractor showcases John Deere's second-generation autonomy package, offering enhanced 360-degree visibility and precise operation for larger implements at higher speeds.

  • The company promotes a digital farming approach enabling remote monitoring and control, forming the basis for autonomous machinery adoption.

  • John Deere presents a broad alternative drive strategy including biofuels, renewable diesel, and a fully electric E-Power tractor prototype to support climate-friendly farming transitions.

At this year’s Agritechnica, the John Deere booth centers around the two key production systems of European agriculture: Dairy & Livestock and Small Grains. For every step of the production process – from seeding to harvest – John Deere presents tailored technical solutions and products. Additional highlights include autonomous solutions demonstrated with the 9RX tractor as well as a multi-path strategy for alternative drive technologies, including a fully battery-electric E-Power tractor prototype.

New Forage Harvesters, Balers, and Self-Propelled Sprayers

In the Dairy & Livestock segment, John Deere introduces the new F8 and F9 forage harvester series along with the Kemper 400pro header. These harvesters feature a newly designed cab, intuitive high-level automation via the G5Plus CommandCenterTM, and engines delivering up to 1,020 hp. The 400pro header impresses with its ComfortRide and ComfortProtect systems, a centrally positioned 360° transport wheel, and integrated side knives for true multi-crop capability. Switching between transport and harvest mode is fully automated and completed in just 30 seconds.

The new generation of fixed and variable chamber round balers offers increased productivity, advanced automation, and user-friendly features. The V452R and V462R models deliver up to 8% more throughput thanks to a more robust driveline and include the automatic weave function, allowing the baler to oscillate across the swath via a flexible drawbar. The C442R, C452R, and C462R combination balers are designed for high-quality silage production and optionally feature an integrated bale weighing system, enabling real-time weight measurement during operation. All baler models are ISOBUS-compatible and fully integrated within the John Deere Operations CenterTM.

In the Small Grains segment, John Deere presents the new 500R Series self-propelled sprayers, combining precision application technology with high efficiency and outstanding operator comfort. Key features include BoomTracTM Pro 2 boom control, PowrSprayTM for consistent chemical delivery, and ExactApplyTM for individual nozzle control and pulse-width modulation. The pressurized cab with Category 4 filtration, G5Plus CommandCenterTM, and ergonomic CommandArm ensure intuitive and comfortable operation.

Second-Generation Autonomy Package

Also on display is the 9RX tractor, equipped with the John Deere second-generation autonomy package. The enhanced system uses 16 individual cameras for full 360-degree visibility and calculates working depth with greater precision over longer distances. This enables the tractor to pull larger implements and operate at higher speeds. The John Deere autonomy strategy is built on a multi-layered technology platform, starting with core technologies like AutoTracTM, JDLinkTM, and G5 displays, and extending to advanced steering systems, precision seeding, and remote monitoring of machines and field operations. Farmers looking to adopt autonomous systems begin by digitizing their operations – for example, by defining field boundaries and planning workflows digitally. By connecting the entire farm, they gain real-time insights into machine performance, work quality, and agronomic data. These capabilities form the foundation for deploying autonomous machinery solutions, allowing farmers to monitor and control processes remotely.

Alternative Drive Solutions

John Deere also showcases a broad portfolio of alternative drive solutions at Agritechnica 2025 – ranging from biofuels and renewable diesel to electrification. This technology-open strategy provides farmers and contractors with tailored, low- to zero-emission options. A standout exhibit is the fully electric E-Power tractor prototype, featuring up to five KREISEL batteries, 130 hp, and full implement compatibility. These solutions support the transition to climate-friendly farming without compromising on performance or reliability.
