Thousands of visitors will soon descend on Munich between 11th and 17th of April for the 31st Bauma Exhibition. A key date in the diary of the Van der Vlist Transport Group, all Van der Vlist business units will join forces to provide the range of services needed to have the exhibitors construction and mining equipment arrive in perfect condition, at the right place and on time. Leading international suppliers such as Volvo, Terex, Komatsu, Doosan, Kobelco, LiuGong and Sany rely over and over again on Van der Vlist’s vast experience and capacity during the preparations for the world’s leading trade fair for the Construction Industry.
The job starts with handling machinery on arrival at the European ports, a thorough inspection is then completed to ensure the equipment has not been damaged during shipping. If needed, touch up and repairs can be carried out and short term storage is also possible at Van der Vlist locations in Groot-Ammers, Moerdijk and Zeebrugge. After a final pre-delivery inspection the equipment is transported to Munich. From here, a dedicated team of Van der Vlist mechanics take over to unload, assemble and position the machines. The final stage involves testing, cleaning & polishing. After the Bauma exhibition Van der Vlist will then complete the full procedure in reverse.
Joining forces is what Van der Vlist does every day in order to provide the best all-in logistical solution for each client.
