KUHN introduces the innovated i-BIO+ for intelligent baling and wrapping in one go.
This highly compact and manoeuvrable bale and wrap combination features an revolutionary innovation in film binding by our patented* 2 reel film binding system. This unique film binding system offers additional advantages by means of costs, the environment and ease of operation. The i-BIO+ is ISOBUS compatible with multiple in cab controlled functions for a more ergonomic and stressless working environment during a long working day.
The KUHN i-BIO+ meets your demands and expectations in terms of:
-
Manoeuvrability; thanks to its compact and light weighted (≥ 3700 kg) design, the KUHN i-BIO+ is highly manoeuvrable and perfect for hilly conditions and use in small / wet fields with narrow access gates.
-
Optimal intake performance; the i-BIO+ features a 230 cm wide pick-up unit with cam-track for optimal crop intake. The 230 cm wide intake unit with 5 tine bars and standard short crop roller leads to full capacity of the machine and fluent crop flow in all swaths.
-
Crop cutting quality; the i-BIO+ is equipped with our patented* Integral Rotor with double rotor tines, made out of Hardox wear plates, for constant crop flow and aggressive intake at all times. The i-BIO+ is available with two different cutting units with 14 or 23 knives, both with group selection. Standard rotor disengagement and drop floor technology ensure fast and easy clearance when a blockage may occur.
-
Bale formation; the bale chamber of the i-BIO+ exists of 18 rollers with power track profile for reliable bale rotation. New are the integrated stainless steel low friction plates that offer a significant reduction of the power requirements. The 6 rollers in the bottom chamber segment act as wrapping table during the bale wrapping process so transfer of the bale will not be necessary. The i-BIO+ is ideal for use in places that you would never reach with a traditional baler/wrapper combination.
-
Durability; the Kuhn i-BIO+ has upgraded and higher quality drive chains to ensure maximum strength and reliability. For even greater operational reliability of the machine, the i-Bio+ is equipped as standard with Beka Max continuous chain oiling.
-
Binding; the binding cycle is a critical step in the baling process. The new net binder with active stretch technology delivers a firm bale shape with constant high net tension during the entire binding process. For tighter wrapped, denser bales the net stretch can simply be adjusted via the variable pulley.
-
Excellent wrapping; greater management and control of the wrapping process can be achieved by our unique IntelliWrap™. Applying odd number of layers (4,5,6,7,8,9…), adjustable film overlap and a user friendly wrapping interface are key features of IntelliWrap™. IntelliWrap™ provides well-shaped, tightly sealed bales and therefore higher quality silage. The high-speed wrapping ring applies the film on the bale with a outstanding speed up to 50 min-1.
KUHN’s unique Film Binding (optional); this new feature on the i-BIO+ is a unique 2 reel film binding system which applies film on the cylindrical side of the bale in the bale chamber.
Application of the KUHN Film Binder offers several advantages compared to other available film binding systems using special wide film;
-
Standard stretch film (25 µm, 1500 m, 750 mm), no special wide film material needed.
-
Higher stretch ratio resulting in up to 30% film cost savings.
-
Quick switch between film and net binding, as it is not an integrated system but two separate systems. This saves time and unnecessary change of rolls in between different crops.
-
Optimised processing time as the beginning and end string are as short as possible due to the unique 2 reel concept.
-
User friendly exchange of film rolls due to hydraulically folding film roll holding reels and limited weight per roll.
-
No bale transfer, resulting in less film wraps needed.
KUHN offers the most efficient and versatile range of balers available for the market. KUHN balers are not only designed to produce top quality bales but are also built for unmatched reliability.
