Subsoiling for good soil structure, optimal root growth and increased yield stability with simultaneous stubble cultivation or seedbed preparation
Soil loosening is an important operation to maintain long-term health and profitability of farmland. The use of a subsoiler is usually the first step after harvest in front of the primary stubble cultivation. As a result of growing farms and shorter weather periods, time has become a valuable factor. Therefore, operations have been combined to save time. The Kverneland DTX is the perfect solution for deep soil loosening and stubble cultivation in one pass. This saves time and money while improving the soil structure.
Deep loosening, shallow cultivation
The Kverneland DTX combines the Pro-Lift tines with the proven disc section of the short disc harrow Qualidisc Farmer (Ø520mm). Soil can be loosened with the Pro-Lift tines down to 40cm while the top soil layer up to 10cm is incorporated with the disc sections. This combination produces a nice seedbed in one pass, ideal for rapeseed promoting its root development. Pro-Lift tines and disc segment as well as the roller DD600 are connected in a high quality frame box which allows the operation even in heavy conditions.
Pro-Lift tines
The Pro-Lift tines are protected against overload either with hydraulic auto-reset or shear-bolt safety system. In addition 3 widths of wing shares are available according to operational target and soil conditions. The tine is composed of 5 wearing parts, which significantly extend the lifetime of the tines and avoid waste of parts partly worn out. The DTX can be equipped with the Kverneland a-drill integrated seeder (as an option) for simultaneous sowing of intermediate crops or oil seed rape.
Accurate and easy adjustments
All the adjustments are done easily. On the Pro-Lift tines are adjusted directly by pin and for the disc sections by hydraulic depth adjustment on the roller arms as standard.
The DTX is equipped with side deflectors which are well-known from the Qualidisc range. These ensure perfect levelling in all types of conditions. On models with hydraulic auto-reset, the point pressure can easily be adjusted from 1700kg to 2925kg for the hardest soils.
New roller DD for wet but also dry conditions
The DD roller with a diameter of 600mm ensures optimum re-consolidation, levelling and depth control. The result is weather-proof soil conditions. The risk of wind and water erosion as well as flooding is reduced. The large contact surface reduces the pressure on the surface and at the same time it determines the pressure effect on the depth. This in turn moves the capillary water to the top and at the same time rainwater is infiltrated. Special scrapers ensure perfect self-cleaning of the rings.
