Kverneland new agri chopper FXE compact, efficient and versatile

Kverneland introduces the new FXE chopper. It is an agri chopper suitable for grassland renewal, maize, sunflower and sorghum shredding. As FXE is efficient with a new and simple frame and rotor design it is also very versatile thanks to hydraulic offset by 55cm (option). Excellence performance as well as very limited power requirements and maintenance activities (low operating costs) make the FXE chopper the ideal choice for farmers and contractors.

Designed to match the needs of summer stubble chopping, the new Kverneland FXE has been developed with scope to have a lighter machine (compared to common standard) but can also be used for intensive purposes. In addition the possibility to have hydraulic offset (as an option) makes the FXE a versatile and useful implement for medium sized farms. The main frame has a new design (high chopping chamber); and the headstock has been developed to support stress given by the sliding frame. The three point linkage (CAT II) is via a slot hole. In this way chopper is able to oscillate freely and adaptability perfectly to ground contour.

The new Kverneland FXE can offer excellent performance due to its simple and reliable transmission. The central gearbox (up to 120hp) is standard with integrated free wheel. Lateral transmission is based on 5 belts tensioned by bolts for simple and immediate checking.

The frames of the chopping unit are designed with a round profile and a rear cover and can be opened if there are large amount of stubble. In addition, the high chopping chambers guarantee top performance even in very difficult working conditions.

The rotor of the new FXE can be equipped with universal or hammer blades. Their special design guarantees lifting of the residues even in wet conditions and avoids uncut stubble especially in tractor wheel tracks. The rotors running over 1800rpm, can ensure excellent cutting performance also at higher forwarding speed.

The Kverneland FXE comes with lateral skids as standard. FXE can be equipped with a rear roller (245mm diameter) or 2 pivoting wheels (10/8.0x12.8) for a constant control of the working depth. The roller bearings are integrated and protected and do not need regular greasing. Also the semi pivoting wheels kit doesn’t need any maintenance. Double skin and a second counter knife can be added as accessories in order to extend the life of the chassis and create finer chopped residues.
