LEXIS: Don’t sacrifice ease of use!

KUHN continue to develop their CROP PROTECTION range. After the unveiling of the METRIS 2 sprayer at SIMA 2015, it’s time to take on entry-level sprayers with the LEXIS trailed sprayer.

The LEXIS 3000 sprayer, with 3000 liter tank capacity, has been designed for farmers looking for a simple and efficient sprayer. The low price of most simple sprayers today, comes at the expense ease of use. With the LEXIS sprayer, KUHN have sought to come up with an easy-to-use sprayer, even at range-entry-level.

Its key features are:

  • MANUSET start-up with 2 main valves only, making it highly intuitive to use and reducing the number of activation operations by 30% to 50% compared to many other machines in the segment.

  • Compact with 4.05 m long axle-ring: easy to handle and guaranteed reduced crop damage.

  • MEA2 and MTA2 18 to 24 m aluminum booms with compact folding. TRAPEZIA or EQUILIBRA suspension systems for light, stable operations in the field and compact for road travel.

  • A centralized maintenance area with access to the different filters and the pump make for easier machine maintenance.

  • DPAE RPB, REB3 and VISIOREB electronic control boxes.

Conscious that sprayers have to be as precise as possible while being safe and easy to use for the operator, the LEXIS sprayer also comes with:

  • A new product incorporator to ensure total safety for the operator, especially during the rinsing phase,

  • VISIOREB, a new electronic control box with work display and GPS Section Control integrated,

  • Numerous storage compartments for the farmer to keep personal protection equipment in, for example.

The unveiling of the LEXIS sprayer is being held at the AGRITECHNICA 2015 fair in Hanover. It will be on sale in limited numbers from February 2016.
