Linden Comansa to exhibit a 21LC290 tower crane at Bauma Africa

Spanish tower crane manufacturer Linden Comansa and its South African dealer Tower Crane Services will co-exhibit together at upcoming Bauma Africa. This tradeshow will take place at Johannesburg’s Gallagher Convention Centre from September 18th to 21st and will attract many visitors from the entire continent. Although this will be the first edition of Bauma Africa, it is expected to be Africa’s most important construction machinery tradeshow and one of the world’s top meeting points for construction professionals, as its "sister shows" Bauma and Bauma China.

Linden Comansa and Tower Crane Services will erect a 21LC290 Flat-Top crane, with maximum load capacity of 12 tonnes, at a height under hook of only 15.1 meters, to be observed in detail by all visitors. As every Linden Comansa crane, this model has light components for a fast assembly and an easy and cost efficient transport. It features Linden Comansa’s latest innovations, such as the Effi-Plus high speed hoist mechanisms and the PowerLift system, which allows to improve the crane’s load chart up to 10% with reduced speeds.

The 21LC290 tower crane belongs to the LC2100 Series, which has recently been reviewed by Linden Comansa’s R&D team, and will feature many new improvements at Bauma Africa:

  • Frequency Control on the slewing movement
  • All electrical systems are gathered in one single cabinet. With this distribution, the communication between the crane operator and the service technician is highly improved during the maintenance tasks
  • Includes the latest version of the “Cab Platform + Electrical Cabinet” set, with easy installation to the slewing part, for a fast assembly.
  • Etc.

Tower Crane Services is Linden Comansa’s official dealer in South Africa since 2010, but also works in other African countries. Established in 1990, Tower Crane Services is a family business based in Germiston, Johannesburg, and is managed by Richard L. Fletcher. His father, Anthony Fletcher started working on tower cranes in 1969, and is still active as a consultant. Both join over 76 years of experience in the tower crane market. In 1996, Tower Crane Services started working on mines, which is now one of its specialized markets. Most of the Linden Comansa cranes sold by Tower Crane Services are high capacity cranes (such as the 21LC750, with maximum loads from 24 to 48 tonnes), and are working on mines or industrial projects across Africa: Congo, Ivory Coast, South Africa, Lesotho, Zimbabwe, etc.
