Berlin-based ConTech startup Machine26 was selected to join the world-renowned accelerator Y Combinator from Silicon Valley. In total, just 319 from over 16.000 applicants worldwide made it into the program.

"In this already exclusive group, we are one of the few technology startups with a focus on the construction industry," says co-founder Christian Schweiger. "The construction industry is one of the most important industries, and we want to contribute to its future viability."

Machine26 is building a marketplace that helps construction machine owners sell their machines without much effort to professional buyers. "We want to make trading of used construction equipment as easy as possible for all sides" adds co-founder Niklas Fritz.

Y Combinator has shaped the future of some of the most successful startups like Airbnb, Stripe, Dropbox, Twitch, Reddit, Coinbase and Equipment Share. Co-founder Steffen Schweiger is glad: “We are very proud to be part of this amazing community of founders and to have one of the most prominent US investors on board.”

Being part of Y Combinator will accelerate Machine26’s mission to digitize the trade of used construction machines.
