Major crane hire contract win for Caspian region

ALE’s Kazakhstan branch has recently won a contract to supply a 750t capacity crawler crane to install nine heavy vessels over a five month period at the Atyrau refinery expansion.

The crawler crane has successfully installed the first 232t piece using the 91.4m main boom and 270t of superlift counterweight.

Since ALE opened its office in Atyrau in 2014, the branch has steadily grown its fleet to include mobile cranes with up to 100t capacity and a 750t crawler crane, along with 54 axle lines of conventional modular trailers and four prime movers.

Recent successes include winning long-term rental contracts in the nearby Karabatan oil processing plant as well as being awarded the scope to transport a generator and turbine from Kuryk, Kazakhstan to Tashkent Thermal Power Plant in Uzbekistan.
